Making an Impact
We are proud supporters of the Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) and its vision to alleviate poverty and promote equity through education and employment. As an active board member, our CEO, Deborah Moses, holds PYN near and dear to her heart since she grew up in Philadelphia and knows, first-hand, the challenges inner city youth face.
PYN creates education opportunities for youth and young adults and creates coordinated systems to promote academic achievement, economic opportunity, and personal success.
A key, annual program that just kicked off, WorkReady Summer, is a job program for 12-24-year-olds in Philadelphia. WorkReady Summer offers over 100 different experiences through 80+ partner organizations, throughout the city, between July and August. This summer, safe, in-person experiences will be available at least 3 days per week for young people at early, intermediate or advanced levels to develop critical skills. Applications are being accepted now for these approximately 8,000 paid opportunities. If you know someone who could benefit from the program or want to learn more, check out WorkReady Summer and PYN.
